Abstract The properties of oil palm empty fruit bunch (OPEFB) fibre filled high density polyethylene (HDPE) have been investigated at filler loadings, 0 to 1.5 wt. %. Maleic anhydrideolyethylene (MAPE) was used as a compactibilizer. Oil palm empty fruit bunch fibre was prepared at three particle sizes namely, 0.15, 0.212, and 0.30 mm.
The characteristics of waste oil palm empty fruit bunch fiber (OPEFB) including fiber morphology and mechanical properties were investigated for use as reinforcement in polymer composites.
